Year 7
“Let all that you do be done in love.” 1 Corinthians 16:14
As we journey through Semester 2, this simple yet powerful verse reminds us that our words, actions and choices should always be guided by kindness, compassion and respect for others. Whether our students are taking on leadership roles, supporting a classmate, challenging themselves in the classroom or simply showing care in the everyday moments, each act of love contributes to a stronger and more connected community. We encourage our Year 7 students to continue embracing every opportunity with courage, curiosity and a commitment to living out our Kilbreda College school values.
Year 7 News
As we settle into Semester 2, it has been wonderful to see our Year 7 students returning with enthusiasm, positivity and a continued willingness to embrace new opportunities. It has been fantastic to see students settling back into their routines, demonstrating our school values and making the most of all that Semester 2 has to offer.

A Reminder for Families
We encourage all Year 7 families to regularly check SIMON with their child throughout the term. SIMON is the central hub for homework, assessment tasks, due dates and important school communications. Taking a few minutes each week to review upcoming tasks and monitor progress can help students stay organised, develop positive study habits and avoid falling behind. Your support at home plays an invaluable role in helping your child establish routines and achieve success throughout the school year.
Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership and support. We look forward to another exciting period of learning, leadership opportunities and celebrating the many achievements of our wonderful Year 7 students.
Student Reflection
So far Semester 2 has been a blast. Our cohort has had several sporting opportunities and so many of our students have successfully completed math tests. Earlier in the year, multiple students were selected to complete a science/math test. We had some amazing results come back from it. NAPLAN results also came out this term.
We had great success in the Junior Volleyball. The VNA Junior netball teams played netball last Thursday and also did really well.
We celebrated 122 years of Kilbreda at the Foundation Day Mass last Friday and celebrated Sister Lia’s 80th birthday. We also received badges for our College value of the year, Justice.
We have some really fun events coming up like Brigidine Day where we get to dress up. The Year 7 theme for this year is Dynamic Duos and Trios! There’s also a cake decorating competition coming up for Book Week. The theme of your cake needs to refer to a music symphony.
That’s it for this week’s updates!
