Year 12
With only seven weeks of school left, our Year 12 students are feeling a mixed array of emotions. Nostalgia comes to mind, remembering the many fun (and not so fun) times at the many events and occasions throughout their school life. ‘Nostalgia’ is the very appropriate dress up theme for the Year 12s this year on Brigidine Day. We are looking forward to seeing what they come up with!
Many are feeling the nervous energy that goes with completing final SACs and upcoming exams. Some are already wondering what it will be like when secondary school does finally come to an end. Most of all, this is a time to stay focused and to experience the fruition of all their efforts so far. A balance of school, work, exercise and socialising is essential and where the demands of one may increase, then another may have to be reduced, e.g. work shifts.
Congratulations to all of the Year 12 students who have represented the school in the various sporting activities this term. I had the pleasure of coaching the Senior Netball team at the Netball Victoria School Championships. Many of them have represented the school every year in this sport – a wonderful achievement. Year 12s also shone in the College production of 42nd Street. Balancing rehearsals, performances and studies takes much dedication.
As we enter the final weeks, let’s embrace all that this wonderful school offers. There will be happy and sad times, and busy days and nights.
