Celebrating Community, Service and Integral Ecology

Our recent College Assembly was a wonderful celebration of community, student achievement and the values that shape our College. The assembly focused on the theme of Integral Ecology – an understanding that caring for ourselves, others and the world around us are all deeply connected. This theme encouraged students to reflect on the importance of compassion, responsibility, social justice and stewardship within our community and beyond.

Students and staff enjoyed outstanding performances from the cast of The Addams Family and our talented Concert Band, showcasing the creativity and dedication of our students. We also heard reflections from students who recently participated in the Northern Territory Camp and celebrated the achievements of students involved in the The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award program, along with sporting and swimming successes across the College.

The assembly was marked by a strong spirit of unity, pride, and celebration, highlighting the many ways students contribute to College life.

We have also recently enjoyed several wonderful community events, including our Mother’s Day Breakfast, themed “The Heart of Every Home”. This special morning provided an opportunity to celebrate and thank the mothers, grandmothers and carers whose guidance, support, and care play such an important role in the lives of our students and our wider community.

Parent Breakfast

As part of our ongoing commitment to student wellbeing, we warmly invite you to attend a Parent Wellbeing Breakfast facilitated by our Counselling Team.

This session will focus on perfectionism in adolescent girls. Together, we will explore the factors that can contribute to perfectionistic thinking and discuss practical strategies to support your daughter in developing a healthy, balanced approach to learning, achievement and self-expectations.

Uniform and Mobile Phone Expectations

We would like to thank students and families for their ongoing support of our College expectations regarding uniform and mobile phones. Recently, students shared feedback regarding the College sports pants, and we appreciate the respectful and thoughtful way many students expressed their views. Student voice is valued, and feedback shared through appropriate channels such as the SRC continues to inform future discussions and reviews.

Following the comprehensive uniform review completed in 2023, the current sports pants remain part of the approved College uniform, and students are expected to continue wearing the correct uniform each day in line with College expectations. We ask for families’ continued support in reinforcing these expectations to ensure consistency and pride in our College community.

We also appreciate the ongoing support of parents and carers in reinforcing our mobile phone expectations. Maintaining clear expectations around phone use helps create a calm, focused, and positive learning environment for all students.

Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting student wellbeing, learning, and a positive College culture.
