This week our Student Environmental Action Leaders (the SEALs!) met for the first time in 2025 to get to know each other and plan for this year. Our Year 12 Leaders, Alicia Vu and Amelie Corbett, are very organised in contacting the team and it was fantastic to see all our Leaders attend the meeting. Our major focus for this year is reducing waste as well as promoting sustainable clothing. Kilbreda is a Resource Smart School and this year we will be working to achieve our second star by completing the Waste module. There is a long checklist of actions needed to complete this! The first action is a waste audit which will be completed next Friday 21 February, to see how we are going as a school at using the different bins (landfill, recycling, compost and container returns).

We look forward to adding some of our new Year 7 students to our team once they have settled in to Kilbreda.
