Brigidine Thrift Shop
Our Environmental Action Leaders recently organised the Brigidine Thrift Shop, and we’re thrilled to share that it was a wonderful success! Around 60% of the donated clothing was sold, with all proceeds going to Wellsprings for Women, a Kildare Ministries organisation that supports and empowers women in our community through education, connection and advocacy.

The Thrift Shop was not only a fundraiser but also an important initiative to raise awareness about the impact of fast fashion. By reusing and repurposing pre-loved clothing, we helped reduce textile waste and encouraged our school community to think more sustainably about the way we shop. Every item bought or donated contributed to a more ethical and environmentally conscious approach to fashion.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated clothing, helped set up or came along to make a purchase – your generosity and enthusiasm made this event possible. We hope you found some great new pieces to enjoy! Well done to our Environmental Action Leaders for their creativity, initiative and leadership in bringing this meaningful project to life. The Brigidine Thrift Shop was a perfect example of how small actions can make a big difference for both people and the planet.
