Representative Cross Country
Congratulations to our two Cross Country athletes who competed last week at the Representative Cross Country event at Yarra Valley Grammar.
Matilda Harrison (Year 10) finished 5th in a time of 10.45 (1st CGSAV runner) and Teagan Smullen (Year 8) finished 25th in a time of 11.25 (4th CGSAV runner). It was an amazing achievement to have been selected to represent both Kilbreda and the CGSAV teams at this event.
On Saturday 23 August, Teagan and Matilda also participated in the Australian Cross Country Championships in Ballarat. Teagan ran in 31st place in the Under 15 4km race and Matilda ran in 12th place in the Under 17 4km race. A fantastic effort for both students.
Hockey
A huge congratulations to Neve Hoult (Year 9) and her Team Vic teammates. The team came together to represent Victoria at the School Sport Australia 15 Years and Under Hockey Championships in Canberra and played some incredible team hockey. Their hard work paid off as they won a fantastic silver medal on the final day of competition. We are so proud of them all.
SEGAP Sport
On Tuesday 19 August, approximately 50 students across Years 9 and 10 participated in the SEGAP Volleyball and Netball Competition at Monash University Sport in Clayton. Students played against OLSH, Killester and Sacred Heart Girls College Oakleigh. The results were as follows:
Netball A: 3rd place
Netball B: 1st place
Netball C: 2nd place
Volleyball A: 2nd place
Volleyball B: 3rd place
Volleyball C: 1st place
The following students were awarded the MVP for their individual efforts across the day:
Netball: Jasmyn Knight, Zoe Salter and Shaina Ablis.
Volleyball: Neve Hoult, Tijana Huynh-Koncar and Milena Sevcikova.

Kilbreda Run Club
The students continue to turn up each Monday morning for a run along the Parkdale Beach. It has been very chilly the last few weeks but once we reach the pedestrian crossing at St Bede’s, they are warmed up and ready to hit the beach path. The water has been very calm and looks very inviting, and we hope to spot a dolphin some time over the next few weeks.
The following students have run over 30kms throughout the year so far. Congratulations to:

- Mia Carson, Amelie Corbett, Matilda Gray and Charli Castle (45kms)

2026 Swimming Squad Training at Mentone Girls Grammar School
Starting in Term 4 we will be starting our preparations for our Swimming Squad 2026 team.

Go Girls 100km Challenge
The Go Girls 100km run is more than just a physical challenge: it’s a statement of solidarity and commitment to empower young women through education. With every step, we’ll be raising awareness and funds to provide programs for women at risk, enabling them to pursue their dreams and shape a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
