CGSAV Futsal
Congratulations to the following students who participated in the CGSAV Futsal competition at MSAC on Wednesday 30 July:

Results were as follows:
Junior: 2nd place (4-3 in Grand final overtime – an amazing effort!)
Intermediate: 4th place
Senior: 4th place
All players demonstrated great team spirit throughout the day against very strong competition. Well done to all students and staff involved.
VNA Netball
On Tuesday 5 August, 50 students across Years 7 to 12 represented Kilbreda at the Victorian Netball Championships in Parkville. Playing against secondary schools from all over the state, Kilbreda played a fantastic brand of netball that was filled with determination and enthusiasm.

Intermediate A: 6th place
Intermediate B: 5th place
Senior: 3rd place
Well done to all students for their efforts leading up to the competition and on the day. Thank you to all coaches who organised and ran trials and training sessions to prepare each of the teams.

ACC Mixed Netball Competition
On Wednesday 6 August our VNA A team, consisting of 10 students across Years 9 and 10, participated in the Associated Catholic Colleges (ACC) Mixed Netball Competition with St Bede’s at the State Netball Centre in Parkville. This was the first time that this mixed event has taken place, and it was a great success.
Results were as follows:
Team A: 4th place
Team B: 6th place
This was a great experience for the students to work with St Bede’s in the sporting environment. The competition provided great opportunities to strengthen connections and encouraged teamwork and collaboration. We are looking forward to providing more of these opportunities in the years to come.

CGSAV Volleyball
On Tuesday 12August, 57 students participated in the CGSAV Volleyball competition at MSAC.
An amazing effort from all students, rising to the challenge against some outstanding competition. Overall results were as follows:
Junior A: 3rd place
Junior B: 6th place
Junior C: 1st place, winning the Grand Final 45-39 against Marian College. Olivia Clark was awarded the MVP in the Grand Final.
Intermediate A: 6th place
Intermediate B: 2nd place. Lost by 2 points in overtime against Mater Christi.
Senior A: 6th place
Senior B: 5th place

Representative Cross Country
Congratulations to our two Cross Country athletes who have been selected to represent both Kilbreda and the CGSAV Cross Country squad on 15 August at Yarra Valley Grammar School. Matilda and Teagan finished 1st and 2nd respectively and as a result, qualified to represent the CGSAV squad competing against other associations. Best wishes to Matilda Harrison (Year 10) and Teagan Smullen (Year 8).
