Aerobics Training

The interest in Aerobics for 2026 has been incredible. We have 68 students keen on learning aerobics skills and routines for our August competition at OLMC.

The training started this week and will continue every Thursday morning from 7.20am – 8.30am. Our aerobics coach, Lexi, will teach the students basic aerobic skills and movements relevant to the routines that the students will need to learn. Once the basic skills are learnt, Lexi will group the girls into specific teams based on their skill level.

Please note there will be NO training due to the House Swimming Carnival on Thursday 19 March. Training will resume on Thursday 26 March.

House Swimming Carnival

Next Thursday 19 March the Kilbreda House Swimming Carnival will be held at Oakleigh Recreation Swimming Pool. The students will travel by bus to and from the venue.

All students are encouraged to participate in a variety of swimming activities: 25m events, 50m events and novelties. It will be a wonderful opportunity to have the whole school together at our first House event for the year. All students are encouraged to have a swim and earn points for their House. The more events they go in means the more points for their House.

The most exciting event on the day will be the Fastest 50m event which sees the fastest swimmer from each year level swim against each other to determine the fastest swimmer in the school.

Some things to note:

  • Students are encouraged to wear their House colours to school over their bathers
  • Strictly no face or body paint
  • Bathers need to be appropriate for swimming laps in a pool
  • Canteen facilities will be available on the day, but students are encouraged to bring their own food and water from home
  • Students will also need to wear a hat.

The House Leaders are very excited about their first House Sport event. We look forward to seeing their wonderful costumes and we wish all of the House Leaders and students a great day.
