Senior Italian Day Out: Learning Beyond the Classroom

Our Year 10, 11 and 12 Italian students recently enjoyed a wonderful day out in Melbourne, immersing themselves in Italian culture, history, language and food.

The day began at the Italian Museum in Carlton, where students explored stories of Italian migration and cultural heritage. We then travelled to Melbourne Museum to discover the fascinating Ancient Rome: Empire, Power, People exhibition and deepen our understanding of Roman history and its enduring influence.

Of course, no Italian cultural experience would be complete without sharing good food and conversation! Students enjoyed lunch together at Brunetti Classico, creating another opportunity to experience and celebrate Italian culture in a relaxed and social setting.

It was a fantastic day of discovery, connection, culture and learning beyond the classroom, bringing Italian language and cultural learning to life through authentic experiences. A big thank you to our wonderful students for their enthusiasm and to everyone who helped make this experience possible.
