Music Residency at Kingston Arts Centre
Last week, students in our Ensemble and Instrumental Program were invited to our Music Residency at the Kingston Arts Centre. This outstanding venue provided the perfect backdrop for intensive yet supportive sessions focussing on skill development. The Residency included various rehearsals and workshops, some led by notable industry professionals including Sally Gawley from the Australian School of Performing Arts and renowned conductor and educator, Lindsay Ryan. They were joined by our instrumental and classroom music staff to create an inspiring and enriching learning environment for all students.

A highlight was the massed rehearsal involving all instruments and vocalists, preparing for our upcoming ‘Music By Candlelight’ concert, to be held on Wednesday 20 May (book tickets here). During the Residency, students also had a chance to showcase their talents during the Kilbreda Festival Heats, as well as demonstrate their musical knowledge at trivia whilst enjoying a pizza party. This further enhanced the team spirit within our music community.
We thank all of the teachers, tutors, support staff and of course our wonderful Music Captains, Eloise H and Arielle B, who made this valuable experience possible.
