Welcome Back to Term 4: A Season of Hope, Celebration and Farewell
As the new term begins, we extend a warm welcome back to all students and staff. Term 4 is always a time of mixed emotions. A season of renewed energy, joyful celebration and meaningful farewells. It invites us to reflect on the year that has been, to finish well and to support one another with kindness and courage as we step into the final stretch of the school year.
Brigidine Day: Strength and Kindliness in Action
This term begins with heartfelt gratitude for the beautiful community spirit shown on Brigidine Day. Our students, families and staff came together in the spirit of “Strength and Kindliness”, living out the legacy of St Brigid of Kildare. Through your generosity and joyful participation, we raised much-needed funds to support Wellsprings for Women, an organisation that empowers and uplifts women in our wider community. Wellsprings for Women is a Kildare Ministry community work that supports women, especially those who are vulnerable, socially isolated or newly arrived in Australia.
Located in Dandenong, Wellsprings offers a safe, welcoming space where women can build confidence, learn new skills and connect with others. Their programs include english language classes, employment and skills training, health and wellbeing activities and support for women experiencing family violence or hardship. The heart of Wellsprings is about empowerment, dignity and belonging, and creating opportunities for women to grow and thrive.
Brigidine Day reflects our shared commitment to justice, inclusion and hope. Thank you to every student, staff member and family who contributed time, energy and heart to make this day such a success.
Farewell and Blessings for Year 12
This week, we also pause to offer a prayerful farewell and congratulations to our Year 12 students. As they complete their final days at the College, we celebrate not just their achievements, but the people they have become during their time in our community.
They have walked in the Brigidine way with courage, faith, hospitality and a sense of justice. As they prepare to step into the next chapter of their lives, we hold them in prayer, asking that God’s light continues to guide their path.
As we journey through Term 4 together, may we continue to embody the Brigidine charism, standing with the vulnerable, welcoming all with open hearts and walking forward in faith and hope.
Prayer for Year 12 Students
Loving God,
We thank you for the gift of our Year 12 students.
Bless them with courage and hope as they take their next steps beyond these gates.
May the seeds of strength and kindness sown here grow deep roots in their lives.
Surround them with love, guide them with wisdom,
and remind them always that they are part of a story bigger than themselves.
Amen.
