GARDENS, GROUNDS AND MAINTENANCE OFFICER – Kilbreda College

Kilbreda College, is seeking an experienced and dedicated school support officer to take pride in the gardens, grounds and maintenance of our beautiful College. This is initially a 12-month fixed term position, with a view to a permanent role.

About the Role

You are a key member of the maintenance team, working independently and collaboratively to carry out the care and maintenance of the gardens and grounds to provide an environment that is safe, functional, welcoming and reflective of the values of Catholic education in the Brigidine tradition.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Plan for the improvement and maintenance of the current landscaping at the College to enhance the Buildings’ appearance
  • Undertake the regular, ongoing care of the lawns and gardens, including mowing, edging and weed control
  • Removal of leaf litter and other fallen vegetation from pathways and walkways to ensure safety and appearance of College grounds is maintained
  • General maintenance tasks

This role suits someone who is experienced in planning and maintaining a variety of garden settings and who has general handy person skills. Whilst not essential, trade qualifications are desirable.
