MGGS Netball

On Wednesday 3 September, a group of Year 12 students played a netball game against Mentone Girls’ Grammar School. The game was filled with lots of cheering, music, support from the crowd and the MGGS mascot. MGGS were very dominant and won 26-8. However, the Kilbreda team showed great teamwork and spirit.

Congratulations to Maya Johnstone, Thea Lambe, Indi Hanlon, Nicola Campbell, Charlotte Hay, Grace Cronin, Keeley Sullivan and Charlotte Maclean. Thank you to Tahlia Roberts and Cleo Ruthven for umpiring the game.

St Bede’s vs Kilbreda Netball

On Friday 5 September, the House Leaders from St Bede’s ventured out to the Mary Dalton Hall for a netball game against the Kilbreda Year 12 House Leaders and Co-Captains. It was a very fast paced and challenging game, but with lots of music and support from our other Kilbreda students, Kilbreda played extremely impressive netball. St Bede’s won the game 20-12. Indi Hanlon was awarded the MVP from Kilbreda.

Congratulations to Indi Hanlon, Thea Lambe, Grace Cronin, Kate Golby, Bridget Koczek, Gabrielle Bienaime, Maya Johnstone, Charlotte Hay, Charlotte Maclean and Amelia Presnall. Thank you to Tahlia Roberts and Cleo Ruthven for umpiring the game.

With every step, we’ll be raising awareness and funds to provide programs for women at risk, enabling them to pursue their dreams and shape a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

Kilbreda Run Club

The students continue to turn up each Monday for a run along the Parkdale Beach. It has been very chilly the last few weeks but once we reach the pedestrian crossing at St Bede’s they are warmed up and ready to hit the beach path. The water has been very calm and looks very inviting, and we hope to spot a dolphin some time over the next few weeks.

See you all for our run together next week.
