In the morning of Friday 9 May, we celebrated the incredible mothers – and all those who play motherly roles in our lives – at our annual Mother’s Day Breakfast.

The theme, “Celebrating Mums: Honouring the Heartbeat of our Lives,” was beautifully brought to life. Grace R and Alyce J shared heartfelt reflections, describing mothers as “silent leaders who shape our world” and “everyday heroes who inspire us to be better.” Hearing such moving tributes from our students is always a highlight of this special event.

Our keynote speaker, Janine Wilson (Class of 1989), captivated the audience with her personal story. She spoke with honesty and warmth about her journey since Kilbreda, the challenges of balancing a demanding career with motherhood, and the enduring influence of her late mother. Her words left a lasting impression on everyone present.

A heartfelt thank you to the Wellbeing Team for their wonderful coordination of the event, and to the Kilbreda Chorale for their stunning performance of “Cover Me in Sunshine.”
