Learning and Teaching
As we head into the final weeks of the term, we have several important dates and timetable transitions approaching. Please review the key updates below to help your child prepare for the start of Semester 2.
Key Dates
| Tuesday 16 June | Student Free Day (no regular classes on this day) Exception: Students sitting the General Achievement Test (GAT) must attend as scheduled. |
| Wednesday 17 June | Semester 2 Rollover This is the official start for the new semester. Students will begin their new timetables on this day. |
| Last Week of Term | Reports Released End of semester reports will be finalised and released to families during the final week of school. |
Elective and Timetable Changes
With the mid-year rollover, students will transition into their new elective subjects.
- For Year 10 Families
To accommodate elective preferences and ensure as many students as possible get their top choices, core subject placements may change. This means your child might have a different room or teacher for their core subjects next semester. We appreciate your understanding as we balance the timetable.
- Year 11 Subject Reviews
If your child wishes to review their Semester 2 subject selections following the release of their examination results, please have them contact me directly. We want to ensure they are on the right pathway moving forward, and I am happy to discuss their options.
