Over Semester 1 the Kilbreda Library has been able to benefit from the assistance of two work experience students, Belinda G(Year 12) and Amelie D (Year 11). Each week Belinda and Amelie have completed library organisational tasks such as collection management, display and the accessioning and preparation of library resources.

These work experience students also tapped into the passion and enthusiasm that many students at Kilbreda have for Manga stories and particularly in Manga artwork. To enable an outlet for Manga artwork, Belinda and Amelie created, organised, ran and judged the Kilbreda Library Manga Drawing Competition. The competition received many entries and a hotly anticipated judging and prize giving was held on Friday 15 May. A special thank-you to Ms Albrecht for facilitating and promoting the competition for the students.

1^st: Namie P (Year 10)

2^nd: Alexandra C (Year 11)

3^rd: Grace W (Year 9)

Congratulations to Belinda and Amelie on your initiative in creating and running the inaugural Kilbreda Library Manga Drawing Competition. The Library staff also wish to thank you for your valuable assistance this semester.
