Students had the opportunity to play against Killester, OLSH and Sacred Heart Girls’ College. Swimming Preparations for 2026 at MGGS

30 students from Years 7 to 11 have committed to the remainder of the swimming program with Mrs Kimberley Laska (Swimming Coach).

Training will continue on 14 November, with a 7.00am – 7.45am session in the pool. The students will walk back to school afterwards.

Kilbreda Run Club

The students continue to turn up each Monday for a run along Parkdale Beach. It has been very chilly the last few weeks but once we reach the pedestrian crossing at St Bede’s, we are warmed up and ready to hit the beach path.

Congratulations to Sienna M, Kirsten C, Eliza L, Charli C, Charli S, Mia C and Hayley O for their consistent participation in the Run Club throughout the year. Each of these students has run a total of approximately 85km – an amazing effort! The final 3 sessions will be taking place on the 17 and 24 November and 1 December.

2025 Ironman 70.3 World Championship

A big congratulations to Kilbreda Class of 2022’s Chloe Joughin. She completed her first Half Ironman in Marbella, Spain, on 8 and 9 November. Chloe’s results for the race were as follows:

  • 21km run (1 hour 46 minutes) – placed 663rd overall
  • 1.9km swim (31 minutes) – placed 119th overall
  • 90km bike (3 hours 26 minutes) – placed 570th overall

An incredible achievement, Chloe! Despite having very sore feet afterwards, Chloe has shown incredible determination to work towards achieving her goals.
