CGSAV Cross Country
Student Reflection
On Thursday 5 June a group of 30 students across all year levels attended the CGSAV Cross Country event. Even with cold conditions everyone who attended ran well securing 2nd place overall for Kilbreda. The day started with the Junior race where we saw Teagan Smullen finish in an outstanding 2nd place, completing the course in just under 11 minutes. In the Intermediate race the incredible Matilda Harrison ran across the line 1st giving Kilbreda the only race win of the day and Lily Mackay followed her earning her a well-earned 9th place. Only four Seniors attended this year’s race and in their last year running CGSAV Cross Country, Jasmine Perry and Charlotte Maclean came 5th and 4th respectively, waving goodbye to high school cross country with a smile. Everyone that attended ran exceptionally well and should be proud of themselves, especially the Year 7s who ran their first high school cross country race. You all did amazing and hopefully you go again next year!

CGSAV Football
On Tuesday 10 June, 65 students from Years 7 to 12 participated in the CGSAV AFL competition which was held at Western Pavilion playing fields in Parkville. All teams showed perseverance and enthusiasm throughout the day. A special mention to a group of Year 10 students who played in the Intermediate team despite missing their exams. This demonstrated great commitment to representing the College.
The Junior team came runners up in the Grand Final in a very close game, losing by two points to Mater Christi. The Intermediate and Senior teams finished in 4th place having played some really challenging games. Despite this, all teams showed great Kilbreda spirit and grit in every game.
