Kilbreda College is delighted to announce that it has again been recognised as a 5-Star Employer of Choice by The Educator, recognising our commitment to cultivating a positive and motivating workplace for our staff.

Our talented and dedicated teaching and support staff thrive in an atmosphere that fosters collaboration, innovation and inclusivity. Staff are supported at all stages of their career journey, through a mentoring program for provisionally registered teachers, extensive professional learning opportunities and leadership development.

Through our fortnightly Professional Learning Communities program teaching and learning support staff engage with current research, analyse data and reflect on practice to improve student learning. The research and learning that comes from this links directly to their annual professional practice reflection and review.

To be named a 5-Star Employer of Choice by The Educator employees were asked to fill out an anonymous form evaluating their workplace on a number of metrics, including benefits, compensation, culture, employee development and commitment to diversity and inclusion. A minimum number of employee responses and a 75% or greater average satisfaction rating was required.

We are extremely proud to be one of only ten secondary schools in Victoria to receive this award.  Being named an Employer of Choice for 2024 is not just about the present; it is also a promise for the future and our commitment to living out our Vision, Mission and Values.
