Immersions and Study Tours

To develop global awareness and support their social, emotional and spiritual growth, Kilbreda students have the opportunity to participate in a number of social justice, leadership and immersion experiences including trips to Central Australia, Timor Leste, the Duke of Edinburgh program and World Challenge expeditions.   We also offer language and cultural study tours to both Italy and Japan. These immersions and study tours encourage further learning and engagement with different cultures and communities and are immensely rewarding experiences for all.

Timor Leste Immersion

After the completion of the VCE exams a small group of students and staff head off to Timor Leste for 11 days to continue to develop the relationship between the Kilbreda community and the community of Remexio. There the students immerse themselves in the community, working with the Sisters at the school, teaching young adults English, getting to know the people and the unique place it is. Kilbreda has an ongoing commitment to support the school in Remexio, in particular the funding of the library, Science and ICT classrooms.
