ENROLMENT

Introduction

Kilbreda College welcomes students from within the local community, and those who respond to the Gospel invitation to “come and see”.

Open Mornings incorporating school tours are held on the first Thursday of each month during school terms. Bookings can be made by telephoning the school office.

Enquiries regarding enrolment are directed to the Principal’s secretary.

Year 7 Applicants

The enrolment process and dates are in accord with those set by the Melbourne Catholic Education office for Catholic Secondary Schools. Applications close on the third Friday in February of Yr 6.

The enrolment process for Yr 7 students at Kilbreda includes attendance at:

  • Year 5 Enrolment Information Evening August
  • Year 6 Transition Evening October Commencement of Transition Program for students enrolled in Year 7 for the following year

Application is made on the official Kilbreda enrolment form, with a copy of the Baptismal Certificate where possible. Application forms are available at Catholic Primary schools listed as major or minor feeder schools. They are also available from the Kilbreda General Office or may be printed from our webpage.

Financial need is not a barrier to enrolment at Kilbreda.

Yrs 8 – 12 Applicants

Enrolment is dependent on vacancies. Information can be obtained by telephoning the principal’s secretary.

Year 7 Enrolment Criteria

  • Catholic students with a sister/s presently or previously enrolled at Kilbreda
  • Catholic students from Catholic Primary Schools within Kilbreda's major areas of intake
  • Catholic students from Government schools within Kilbreda's major areas of intake
  • Students of other faith traditions from Catholic Primary Schools with a sister/s presently or previously enrolled at Kilbreda
  • Student's from other faith traditions from Government schools with a sister/s presently or previously enrolled at Kilbreda
  • Students of other faith traditions from Government or other schools
