CURRICULUM SUPPORT

Kilbreda College recognises that every young person has a right to be educated in a regular school, providing that the enrolment is in the best interests of the young person, and that certain conditions and requirements are met prior to the enrolment.

In providing an education for all students the expectation of the parents/carers and teachers is that a broad and comprehensive curriculum will be provided. The basis for all programming for students should involve curriculum planning that is based on the Victorian Essential Learning Standards. Program Support Groups, in planning for the learning needs of students, will take steps to get to know the students, and work through the process of goal setting, program planning, implementation and evaluation. Support for students, where the need arises, will occur in a variety of settings.

Ongoing identification and provision of appropriate support is facilitated through a Student Support Referral process.
