SPORT

lifesavingKilbreda College is committed to the promotion of health and well being for students. Sport is valued as contributing to students' health, sense of community and social connectedness.

In Years 7-10 students have opportunities through the Physical Education program to develop appropriate skills and experience in a variety of sports. Students from year 7-12 have the opportunity to participate in school-based athletics and swimming carnivals.

Interschool carnivals are organized in association with the SCSA (Secondary Catholic Schools Association). Kilbreda students participate in badminton, soccer, volleyball, table tennis, tennis, athletics, netball, basketball, swimming, hockey, softball and cross country carnivals. In addition we are members of an after-school sport program in conjunction with local catholic secondary schools.

As a way of promoting fitness and sport, Kilbreda has a weekly program of activities such as fun runs, power walks and gym sessions in which students enthusiastically participate. Occasionally St Bede's students or Kilbreda staff members take part in special lunchtime exhibition sports. Each term, blocks of time are set aside for levels to join in fun, non-competitive sports and activities.
