THE ARTS

At Kilbreda College the Arts are valued as expressive, creative and communicative experiences that engage students in critical and creative thinking.

The Arts engage students in a variety of forms, technologies and processes. Students’ learning encompasses cognitive, emotional, sensory, aesthetic and kinesthetic dimensions.

Opportunities are provided for students to become skilled in and to express their ideas through the Arts Curriculum at Years 7-12, their participation in performance activities such as the Rock Eisteddfod, musical evenings, school productions or drama nights.

The Annual Art Exhibition presents students’ work to their peers, families and the school community. Kilbreda encourages students to pursue opportunities provided by the wider community through competitions, exhibitions or projects such as music festivals and murals.
