Kilbreda offers a range of instruments for students to learn during the school day. Students may elect to have individual or shared lessons for all instruments except drums and piano.

Kilbreda College also offers opportunities for students to be involved in various music ensembles within the school. These include the World Music Choir, Contemporary Vocal Group, Percussion Beaters, the Guitar Funk Band, Kilbreda String Ensemble, School Concert Band and the  Kilbreda Flute Ensemble.

musicInstrumental students are able to perform regularly at school events either in a solo capacity or as a member of a group. Opportunities also exist for some of the ensembles and vocal groups to perform outside the school. Furthermore, every two weeks, students may perform music during lunch time in the atrium area of the school. This attracts many students and staff and gives music students an ongoing performance opportunity.

A music camp is held every two years during which time the school concert band focuses on music for the School Production.
Instrumental students and members of music ensembles are strongly supported by the music staff members at the school who are eager to assist them with all their music endeavours.
