Belief Statement
We believe that we should:
- Respect the Earth and life in all its diversity as God's creation.
- Act to secure Earth's bounty and beauty for present and future generations.
- Adopt patterns of production and consumption that are sustainable by the regenerative capacities of the Earth.
- Advance the study of ecological sustainability and promote the open exchange and wide application of the knowledge required. Principles of the Earth Charter
- Empower learners and give them opportunities to develop critical and reflective world views, a capacity to seek change and to challenge the direction of that change.

Brigidine Criteria for an Education that is Catholic
At Kilbreda a strong Student Environment Committee, supported by staff, engages in reflection, research and action in a number of ways eg.
- Domestic recycling and "ForeShore for Sure" Revegetation Schemes operate in collaboration with Kingston Council.
- Food Technology students maintain a worm farm.
- Water and power usage are monitored.
- Future building will reflect our concern to conserve water and energy.
